Shell Kit Home (SKH) Package includes:
- FREE Design services is included allowing you the option to fully customize your plans.
- We can remotely help you supervise the build of this kit cabin home with virtual supervision & inspections services.
- We engineer in-house to provide your team the plans for others to assemble and deliver 4-foot wide by 8' or 9' tall-wall sheathed exterior panels with the ½” O.S.B. (Stronger and Stiffer than Ply-Wood) sheathing (Sub-Siding) attached. These panels can then be easily handled by 2 or 3 people. Panels can be attached to each other to any required size.
- Engineered "T1-11" or "Reverse Board and Batten" 5/8-inch ply-wood siding and wood trim are not included loose in the standard package (Optional Sidings are available in Pine, Fir, Cedar or Redwood).
- "Tyvek" or equivalent house-wrap (by others) coverage, needs to be added and prepared properly prior to the installation of the windows.
- All exterior and interior partition materials (un-assembled) are included in the standard package.
- Exterior wall panels may be panelized on-site for remote locations from our detailed blueprints and erected with our optional wall jacks - eliminating expensive crane services.
- A set of Wall Construction Drawings for easy assembly and erection on site, included with every custom shell kit package.
- Windows and Exterior Doors are available in different earth-tone colors and are not-included with the standard package.
- The patented compression ring allows for on-site assembly by a small crew - eliminating expensive crane services and the antiquated design of the unsightly center support column with its ugly radiating arms and beams.
- First Floor radiant floor heated concrete slab-on-grade (installed by others) designed by CBI to local IRC codes. Other foundation plan designs are available (basements, piers, pilings, P.T. wood columns, excavated crawl spaces).
- 2 x 6 Exterior Studs, 16 inches on center offers you the option of insulating the exterior walls up to an R-20 value.
- ½” O.S.B. tall-wall sheathing (sub-siding) and ½” O.S.B. roof sheathing allow for extra strength, warp and delamination protection from unforeseen inclement weather outbursts during the construction process.
- 2 x 12 real solid wood Rafters offers you the option to insulate the Roof up to an R-49 resistance value.
- Optional wood beamed 4 x 12 rafters and tongue and grooved pine ceilings with rigid insulation designed for local R-values.
- Hip-rafter beams in our roof designs allows for full cathedral ceilings and optional finished wood covered ceiling - no flimsy roof trusses and no ugly "Industrial look Steel Center Post” - avoiding large carpentry labor crew expenses.
- Old fashioned custom built on site roof rafters allow for economical assembly on site.
