TESTIMONIALS

It was nice to talk to you this morning.  I have been researching this house since the day we bought it in November 2014.  It is such an unusual home and we thought it might be a "kit home".  The original tax records say it was built in 1974 and was one of the first few homes built on this street therefore there are not many people left in the area that remember when or how it was built.  As far as I can tell we are the third owner.  As you can see by the pictures the original builder (who we think is you) also built the detached garage because it also has the same type of roof with a center skylight.  The owner that we bought from added the porch/sunroom addition across the back facing the water.  It had red metal siding which was installed over wood (possibly T-111 type siding) when we bought and we installed the vinyl shake and Hardie board on the insets.  You will probably notice in the interior pics we had a skylight cover made for the summer so we can just slide it closed to keep it cool (it is a very large skylight and original to both the house and garage).  It gets very, very windy here on the island (we have clocked winds 60-65 mph) since we have lived here and neighbors told us ours was one of a few homes that did not sustain any damage when the deadly storm "Derecho" hit Maryland a few years ago.

Please feel free to stop by and see us if you are ever in the area.  You
might enjoy seeing how the old girl (43 years and counting) is holding up. I would think it was one of the first few homes you built.  We are within walking distance to Stoney's Seafood restaurant where they serve a delicious crab cake!

Sincerely,
Janet & Joe Garrett
